Wine Resort:
Tuscany is divine - and the land of wine. We have the honor and pleasure of being surrounded by producers and wineries, some of the best known and most prestigious, but also niche and emerging wineries. A wealth of terroirs and labels: The wine routes of Bolgheri, Suvereto and the Etruscan Coast are a world to be discovered and tasted. A visit to one of the many wineries in the region allows you to take a look behind the scenes at the work of passionate people, men and women who have often changed their style and area of life to dedicate themselves body and soul to viticulture and wine culture - with great success. Tasting a wine made with so much dedication and love, with so much patience and wisdom, is a magical moment, surrounded by the amphitheater of the Tuscan hills that embrace and protect our vineyards. We are happy to recommend and book tastings at wineries in our area to visit their vineyards and barriques and taste their wines and typical products, often including the EVO oil produced by the wineries themselves.
More and more producers are following the path of organic, biodynamic or natural viticulture and we take this into account in our wine list and, if desired, in the selection of wineries to visit.
To make the most of these experiences, we even offer escorted tours. You will be taken to the winery in one of our vehicles, where you can enjoy the visit and tasting without having to think about returning, and we will take you back to the Relais. Reservation required.

Bike:
The pine forests of the sea against the backdrop of the Tuscan hills exert an irresistible attraction on those who like to travel on two wheels. Routes through the woods, in the parks above the beaches, on the old roads that connect small medieval villages, on the road and on the dirt track alike - all types of cyclists, amateur and professional cyclists and riders will find the perfect terrain for endless road bike, MTB and e-bike tours. The suggested tours are often accompanied by professional guides and supplemented by short breaks with wine tasting and local products.

Poggio ai Santi is dedicating more and more space and services to lovers of two wheels. We are equipping ourselves to offer you, among other things, a bike room, a small workshop, an e-bike charging station, a bike washing station and much more.

Gardens and parks:
Every week we offer guided tours of our farm to discover the secrets and world of organic farming, research projects and the refinement of our land's products, all of which go into the preparation of our dishes.

The Green Tour also includes a visit to the Bioactive Garden, whose project in collaboration with the University of Florence represents a new food model of the future, aimed at replacing agriculture that impoverishes the soil with one that regenerates it.
At the same time, we are guardians of biodiversity, i.e. we are committed to combating the loss of the genetic heritage of seeds.

Our gardens and vegetable patches are rich in edible herbs and berries, so it is possible to take part in picking days/courses.
The estate's park also offers paths with herbs, succulents, fruit plants and more, where you can lose yourself in the colours and scents of the Mediterranean scrub.

Trekking:
Hiking trails in the Mediterranean scrub that wind through the metalliferous hills right outside our entrance gate. Disused quarries, caves, woodcutters' and charcoal burners' huts, on the paths and roads that connected the settlements in our area in ancient times.

The Temperino Archaeomineral Park is another destination that can be easily explored on foot, immersing yourself in the millennial history of the dwellings and galleries of the now disused Campiglia mine.

The hiking trails are accessible to all and can be used all year round. More or less close to the sea, overlooking the coast, in the footsteps of those who have always experienced the forest as a vital and fundamental habitat for nature, life and biodiversity, as a way to regain balance and return to the center of our soul.

Archaeological parks:
In the marvellous setting of the Gulf of Baratti, history has drawn an artistic and historical picture, modelled on both the Etruscans and the Romans, which was completed and brought to its present state in the Middle Ages.

The Etruscan town and the necropolis, the acropolis and the Roman villa, the tower and the village of Populonia, the Etruscan museum, the workshops, the ancient industrial sites and the numerous quarries in the area - all are worth a visit to make unexpected and surprising discoveries.

We offer full-day or half-day tours and guided tours to fully enjoy the charm of the past.

thermal baths
A 10-minute drive away is the small town of Venturina Terme with its ancient natural spring, located outdoors and surrounded by a terrace equipped with loungers and parasols, that welcomes visitors with water at an average temperature of 36°C. There is also the Termarium, an indoor thermal bath with an Etruscan tradition, that offers a wellness path and various types of massages.
The spa complex is open from the end of March to the beginning of January and should be booked in advance.

A 40-minute drive away is the small village of Sassetta with the recently discovered La Cerreta di Sassetta thermal baths. The spring, which gushes out of an underground pool at 51 °C, is located in the middle of the Mediterranean scrub and houses an indoor pool and spa in stone buildings reminiscent of Etruscan and Roman baths. The tour then continues to the numerous outdoor pools, whose temperature gradually drops and which are surrounded by centuries-old oak and chestnut trees.
A visit to the thermal baths can be combined with lunch at the biodynamic farm.

Cooking class:
Touch the authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepare your own lunch and eat it in the company and under the careful guidance of those who have made the food and culinary traditions of this area their own. The wines of Bolgheri are a natural complement.
The programs take place in a farmhouse on the Bolgherese, the true "wine route"," and include both some themed appointments and full-day proposals that include visits to wineries and the village of Bolgheri.

Golf:
The Tuscan hills are a golfer's paradise, with manicured greens and picturesque scenery that make for spectacular shots. About 45 km away in Punta Ala is Golf Punta Ala or in the village of Gavorrano Il Pelagone:

Of the latter, hole 18 is particularly noteworthy, where you are rewarded with an unforgettable view of the island of Elba and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The challenging course meets the highest international standards and, with its golf school, large driving range, putting and chipping greens and practice bunkers, offers the ideal conditions for a golfing experience at the highest level.
